In order to maintain its historical integrity, the existing windows needed to remain the same, and Lovelace Interiors' licensed interior designer Cara McBroom was called in to create an interior design that maximizes the visual space with a clean, stream-lined, contemporary style and light, refreshing colors and finishes. McBroom accomplished this with a "less is more" approach, evoking a feeling of openness and relaxation that mirrors the coastal way of life. McBroom used mirrors not only to reflect light and open up the visual space, but also to give the illusion of more windows. When the panel sheers are open in the Living Room, the floor mirrors reflect the blue waters and add color to the interior palette.
