Why pick and choose when you can have it all? The interiors of this gulf front condominium combine rustic jute, raffia, linen and distressed finishes with rich wool, silk, velvet, gold and crystals! This unit at Grand Dunes in Miramar Beach was designed by Lovelace's Cara McBroom for two people who hold the beach near and dear to their hearts, while also enjoying the finer things in life.

Natural linen fabrics of the sofa and swivel chairs are made more sophisticated by the clean lines of a bench seat cushion and waterfall skirts. The large jute area rug was topped with a hand-woven wool and silk area rug that pulled in some color. After all, layering is not just for fashion! The main focal piece is a large, antique heart pine sideboard and hutch that was re-purposed into an entertainment center.

A specially-commissioned painting by local artist Allison Wickey and sconces by Fine Art Lamps hang above a French settee finished in antique white and upholstered in raffia, with a linen tufted seat cushion. Two custom kidney pillows, trimmed with moon shell fringe from Kravet's Barbara Barry collection, add some color.

Generic wood finish cabinets, an ordinary tile backsplash and typical granite countertops were gutted to make way for a rippled-glass counter top on the island! This beautiful punch of color picks up on the water outside. The ho-hum hanging lights were replaced with mercury glass pendants from Arteriors that look like they are dripping from the ceiling. The cabinets are painted the same color as the walls, but in a semi-gloss finish. Counter stools by Lee Industries in ice blue leather.

A Crystorama drum chandelier with amber crystal teardrops and hand-woven wool rug define the dining room. French cane side chairs with linen slip-covered seats by Aidan Gray. Host and hostess chairs by Henredon are covered in rich green velvet with linen contrast welt and band at the bottom.

A mermaid sculpture with shell and iridescent glass accents looks right at home on this Currey & Company marble-topped sideboard. Sideboard and matching trumeau mirror are heavily adorned with shells and coral. Lamp with draped glass by Global Views.

The Master Bedroom shows off an upholstered king bed by Oly, antique mirrored nightstands by Currey & Company, and some fabulous bedside pendants. Antique shell prints in handmade frames hang above the bed. Custom, layered bedding is luxurious and inviting.

More layering in the Master Bath, this time mirrors on mirrors! A unique and beautiful LaBarge mirror hangs over the vanity, mounted in front of the existing wall-to-wall mirrors. It is flanked by two Arteriors buffet lamps. A large coral tapestry hangs over the tub. Bed Step by Drexel Heritage serves as a tub step in this bath.

The Guest Bedroom is slightly more feminine, with its crystal lamps, curvilinear bed and antique fauteuils recovered in a green Romo linen and geometric velvet print by Kravet. Antique Florida maps floating in glass add color. Writing desk from Drexel Heritage also serves as nightstand.

The bunk room is sophisticated yet fun. A whale triptych, coral pillows and custom boxed pillows offer whimsy. The tailored linen capsets, oyster shell sconces, painted Venetian chest and capiz shell mirror provide the balance of sophistication.

Warm teak club chairs and chaise lounge by Brown Jordan provide a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sun. Color was added with Sunbrella pillows and garden stools.
